Veterans Support in Kinsman, Ohio
Welcome to Freedoms Refuge
At FREEDOMS REFUGE, we are a nonprofit organization founded by Army Veterans Tony and Babette Bell based in Northeast Ohio. As dedicated advocates for our fellow Veterans, we are committed to utilizing our combined 56 years of active military service to support those in need.
Founded in 2022, FREEDOMS REFUGE plans to channel all donations directly toward our mission of assisting Veterans. The approach emphasizes providing a "Hand Up, Not a Handout," helping fellow Veterans reintegrate into the community through various programs and activities.
Key initiatives of FREEDOMS REFUGE include:
- Equine Assisted Therapy: Utilizing the natural instincts of equines such as horses, donkeys, and ponies, our programs offer valuable biofeedback, allowing participants to gain insights into their emotions and behaviors.
- Outdoor Activities: Engaging Veterans in a variety of outdoor experiences that foster connection, healing, and personal growth.
Tony and Babette believe that the unique bond between humans and animals can serve as a powerful tool for emotional and social learning. By offering real-time feedback through interactions with equines, Veterans can learn to be present and navigate their feelings in a supportive environment.
FREEDOMS REFUGE aims to create a lasting impact within the Veteran community, and we invite you to join us on this journey. Your support through donations, partnerships, or spreading the word can make a significant difference in the lives of those who have served.
Thank you for considering this valuable cause. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or would like to learn more about how you can get involved.
